Sex Drive
By Susan Lyons

December 2009
Sydney University professor Theresa Fallon is in charge of planning her sister’s wedding, to be held in Vancouver in a few weeks. Being divorced herself, she has little interest in the whole nuptials thing, but endeavors to make the best of it for her sister. Killing time waiting for her flight to board, Theresa visits the airport book store to look at wedding magazines. Inside, she spots a display of paranormal thrillers written by a popular Australian novelist whose work she doesn’t much care for. She expresses this to the sales clerk who gushes about the sexy author, Damien Black. Their conversation is interrupted by a man who overhears their comments, and he teases Theresa about it. Flustered, she purchases her magazines and heads for her gate to board the first leg of her long flight home to Vancouver.
Damien Black is a popular Australian novelist, and designated one of the sexiest bachelors in the country. He’s expanding his market to North America and is about to lift off on a multi-city book signing tour. He no sooner settles into his business class accommodations, when his seatmate arrives—none other than Theresa Fallon. She’s mortified to discover she’s seated right next to the devastatingly handsome man whom she just “dissed” at the book store. Meanwhile, Damien conceals his identity, relishing the challenge of learning what makes this up-tight brainiac tick.
As the flight progresses, Damien and Theresa get to know each other better, and quickly discover they not only enjoy each other’s company, they share a serious attraction. By the end of the 10 hour flight to Honolulu, they’re way past small talk. From cover to cover, this one is a fun and tender read as Damien coaxes workaholic Theresa out to play. From their in-flight entertainment to the steamy Honolulu stopover, this is a trip to remember. Loved it.
