How a Lady Weds a Rogue: A Falcon Club Novel
By Katharine Ashe

October 2012
In this third installment of the Falcon Club Novels, Katharine Ashe presents yet another well-developed cast of characters intertwined with a compelling plot. She also tackles the difficult disease of alcohol dependency.
Wyn Yale, a member of the Falcon Club, has been sent to retrieve a duke's improperly appropriated horse. Despite the humiliating nature of the assignment, Wyn willingly takes it on, as it gives him the opportunity to make good on a promise to a young lady he attempted to save years earlier. And though he doesn't realize it at first, it will also allow him to encounter Diantha Lucas again - another young lady who needs saving.
Young Diantha Lucas is determined to find her mother, who abandoned Diantha when she was very young. When her lady's maid also abandons her, Diantha realizes that she needs a hero to help her in her quest. Enter Wyn, who is serendipitously seated in the coach across from Diantha. Wyn has rescued her once before, and so he appears to be the perfect hero for her. But Wyn is having none of it, and even as he pretends to assist Diantha, he is scheming to have her returned home, where she will be safe. However, in the time it takes Wyn to truly rescue Diantha, he finds that he has fallen in love with her . . . and she with him. It is an unconscionable situation, as he intends to commit murder very shortly. What is a rogue to do? In the end, Diantha will have her way as the title indicates.
Historical romance fans will find this latest Falcon Club tale absolutely charming and engrossing. The characters are utterly human, especially in their entirely believable foibles. Wyn's struggle with alcohol dependency is gut-wrenching. This tale is also a wonderful coming-of-age story for Diantha. A don't-miss novel!
